Publisher README and npm manifest were reviewed from pinned captures. This is documented evidence only: the package and AWS APIs were not executed or security-audited. Effective access is bounded by the selected AWS profile and IAM policy. SSO expiry interrupts unattended operation until the user completes the documented browser device-code flow; host approval policy should gate destructive calls and aws_script.

Capabilities: AWS API and pagination calls, Cloud Control resource workflows, CloudWatch logs and metrics queries, IAM simulation and multi-region operations, AWS documentation search and reading

Unattended configuration

An MCP client launches the local stdio process and tool calls use the configured AWS CLI profile. Calls can run without repeated interaction while credentials remain valid; the documented SSO device-code refresh requires user browser authorization when an SSO token expires.

Authentication and prerequisites

Always selects an AWS CLI profile whose credential chain may use credential_process, SSO, role chaining, static profile keys, container credentials, or IMDS. This multi-mechanism AWS credential chain is outside the directory's narrower native auth taxonomy, and SSO refresh is interactive.

Connection configuration

The reviewed connection is a local stdio server launched with npx or its installed aws-mcp binary; it is not a hosted endpoint because it reads local AWS profile and SSO state.
