Unattended configuration

Eligibility is limited to the default safe tier. Arbitrary Lua, AppleScript, and UI pressing require an explicit wider-tier opt-in and are excluded from the unattended capability set.

Authentication and prerequisites

The server runs as the local user and inherits Hammerspoon's macOS TCC grants. This operating-system permission model is not represented by the native API authentication taxonomy and requires user-authorized local setup.

Connection configuration

The MCP client spawns the local npm executable and communicates with it over stdio; the server then uses a local Hammerspoon socket or argv-based hs process.
