Unattended configuration

The MCP client launches npx -y brave-mcp@latest as a stdio subprocess. A local Brave browser starts automatically on the first browser-dependent tool call, or the server can attach to a running instance.

Authentication and prerequisites

The complete pinned README documents only local Node.js, Brave, and npm prerequisites, and the reviewed stdio configuration has no credential or login field. Browser contents are exposed to the configured MCP client and should be treated as sensitive.

Connection configuration

Configure the MCP client command as npx with -y and brave-mcp@latest. The existing catalog connection remains local stdio with no endpoint.
