The source describes read-only SQLite access and no network code, but the connected MCP client receives requested message text. macOS requires user-granted Full Disk Access or a readable exported copy; other local filesystem permissions still apply. Authentication is classified unknown because host filesystem authorization is outside the native service-auth taxonomy. This is documented behavior, not a privacy, runtime, or security test, and it does not authorize access to another person's messages.
