Smart Tree MCP provides local directory analysis, local project tree summaries. The reviewed st --mcp path directly starts the stdio server. Its local directory-analysis handler scans configured paths and returns results without an interactive terminal session.

Requires the compiled st executable, MCP enabled in its feature/configuration policy, readable authorized directories and configured allowed_paths/blocked_paths. Local directory analysis needs no cloud account or API key. Optional Google/OAuth, model, installer and cleanup tools are outside this scope. Use st --mcp with the normal full build and restrict the client tool allowance to local analysis. The default interactive menu, cleanup and cloud connectors are excluded. Publisher documentation and source reviewed; package and endpoints not executed or independently tested.
